Александр Родченко «Фигура в круге»

Published by: Alena Shirefina-Rodchenko.

Alexander Rodchenko is one of the founders of constructivism, the founder of design and advertising in the USSR. His exhibitions of posters and photographs are held with great success both in Russia and abroad.

The first futurists who made an impression on Rodchenko were Vladimir Mayakovsky, Vasily Kamensky and David Burliuk (the meeting took place in 1914). After meeting with them, he wrote: “The evening ended, and the audience slowly dispersed excitedly, but in different ways. Enemies and fans. There are few second ones. Clearly, I was not only a fan, but much more, I was a devotee.”

At the end of 1915, Alexander Rodchenko meets Tatlin, who invites Rodchenko to take part in a futuristic art exhibition.

His artistic works were distinguished by laconicism and geometricism. One of them is presented here.
